The downtown areas of Little Rock and North Little Rock are full of places to eat and things to do. A great way to scope out both areas is to hop on the River Rail Trolley for a sightseeing tour. On the Little Rock side of the Arkansas River, you’ll find dozens of attractions, shops and restaurants â€" something for everyone! Not to be missed: The fresh produce and delicious food vendors in the River Market, the permanent and touring exhibits at the Clinton Presidential Center and the hands-on exhibits for children at Museum of Discovery.

Downtown Little Rock also incorporates the Quapaw Quarter, featuring the city’s oldest and most historic business and residential structures. There you’ll find the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, the Arkansas Arts Center, the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion and the Villa Marre, known nationally as the exterior of the home containing the office of Sugarbaker Designs, the fictional Atlanta-based interior design firm on the CBS sitcom “Designing Women.”
